Police have launched a murder investigation after a man died in Liskeard.
Officers were called shortly before 9.30pm on Sunday, September 13, after a report that a man had been found dead inside a property on Baytree Hill.
When they arrived at the address, they found the victim inside.
A local man in his 30s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
Fast-paced enquiries led to three further suspects. Two local men, aged in their 40s and 50s, were located locally and arrested on suspicion of murder. A man in his 20s from Plymouth has also been arrested on suspicion of murder.
All four suspects remain in police custody.
The victim is believed to be a man in his 50s from Liskeard, although formal identification has not yet taken place.
Detective Inspector Pete Gee said: “Residents in Liskeard will today see an increased police presence around the town as our investigation continues at pace.
“We appreciate incidents such as this cause great concern within the community, however we do not believe there is any wider threat to the community at this time.
