Cornwall Council has confirmed road closures in Fowey, East Looe, Pensilva and Liskeard over the coming weeks. The closures are needed for various works and are advertised to keep the public informed.

Their purpose is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area, and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. The latest public notices indicate potential road closures in these four towns.
In Fowey, Tower Park will be closed between September 14 and September 15, from 7.30am to 6pm, for footway patching works. The road affected is Tower Park between No 23 and No 29. Pedestrian and vehicular access to properties will be maintained.
In East Looe, Castle Street will be closed between September 28 and October 3. Cornwall Council has confirmed the closure is necessary for Kier, contractors for South West Water, to undertake repairs to a defective sewer connection. The prohibition on through traffic will be in force 24 hours a day, including weekends. Castle Street will be closed for its entire length, although access will be maintained for pedestrians and vehicles to properties in the affected area.
In Liskeard, Culverland Road will be closed between September 17 and September 18. The closure will be in force to enable Circet TM to undertake pole replacement works between 8am and 6pm. The road affected is Culverland Road between grid reference SX 24897 65718 and Trevecca Cemetery. Pedestrian access to properties in the affected area will be maintained.
In Pensilva, Higher Road will be closed between September 14 and September 18, Cornwall Council has confirmed. It is to enable National Grid to undertake cabling and pole removal works in the area of Higher Road between grid reference SX 28220 69789 and the junction with Trelawney Gardens. An alternative route will be signed on site and pedestrian access will be maintained to properties in the affected area.
