Cornwall Council has announced several roadworks that will lead to closures and could affect travel plans.
Public notices cover a range of applications, from licensing for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. They are intended to inform communities of the latest plans in their area, and local authorities consider such applications for approval or refusal. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in South East Cornwall.
In Fowey, Tower Park will be closed between September 14 and September 15 from 7.30am to 6pm for footway patching works. The affected stretch runs between No 23 and No 29. Pedestrian and vehicular access to properties will be maintained.
Also in Fowey, Water Lane will be closed for one day on September 15. The closure will run from 7.30am to 5pm and is needed for tree works. The road affected is Water Lane from the junction with Church Hill to the junction with access to South Torfrey Farm. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
In Torpoint, Military Road will be closed between September 14 and October 2. The closure is needed to allow Kier, on behalf of South West Water, to replace a water main in the area. Pedestrian and vehicular access to properties will be maintained during the closure.
In Morval, the road from Tregarland Bridge to Gellis Rise will be closed between September 7 and September 9. It is to enable Kier, on behalf of South West Water, to carry out meter exchange work in the area. The affected route includes the properties known as Torwell Cottages and Hillcrest. Pedestrian and vehicular access to properties will be maintained during the closure.
In Seaton, Hessenford Road and the road from the A387 between the junction to the west of Bickham and Bake Lane to the east of Riverside will be closed on September 20 between 9.30am and 3.30pm for fibre overhead cabling works.
In Liskeard, Tremeddan Lane will be closed on September 15 and September 16 between 8am and 6pm. The affected properties are on Tremeddan Lane between properties 1 and 7. The closure is to enable Circet TM to undertake pole replacement works in the affected area.
