A 20-year-old tractor driver has died as a result of a single-vehicle collision in Cornwall.
Devon and Cornwall Police are now investigating the collision and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a tractor and a trailer on an unclassified road close to St Ewe, St Austell, at around 10.10pm on Friday, September 11, 2026. Emergency services were also called to the scene.
Sadly, the driver of the tractor, a local man in his 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We are investigating a fatal road traffic collision near St Austell and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
“Officers would like to thank members of the public for their patience while the road remained closed while an examination of the scene was carried out.
“It was handed over to highways at around 3.50pm on Saturday, September 12, after vehicle recovery had been completed.
“The circumstances of the collision continue to be investigated.”
