A man has been taken to hospital with life-changing injuries after a two-vehicle crash this morning (Wednesday, September 23).
Emergency services were called to the scene near Otterham on the A39 around 6.30am.
A man in his 40s was trapped in his vehicle and was rescued by fire crews, police confirm.
He was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth for treatment.
CornwallLive reported that the A39 was closed for severalhours this morning.
Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix, reported: "A39 in both directions closed, slow traffic due to accident between the B3262 and Marshgate turn off."

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Officers were called to the A39 near Otterham on Wednesday 23 September at around 6.30am following a report of a two-vehicle collision.
"A man in his 40s was extracted from his vehicle by fire crews and was taken by ambulance to Derriford Hospital where he is being treated for potentially life-changing injuries."
