Firefighters were called to tackle a blaze at a derelict building in Newquay this evening.
Crews from Newquay and Perranporth stations attended the fire at the large property overlooking the sea at Island Crescent at around 6.42pm today (September 18).
They used breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet, a main jet and a ladder to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown.
The property sits above Towan Beach and is next to the 33 metre footbridge which leads to the famous Island House.
