A woman was attacked by another woman near the McDonald's in Newton Abbot. The victim was approached by a woman in a car near the fast food establishment at Penn Inn between 9pm and 9.30pm on Tuesday, August 11. The woman in the car got out and made accusations towards the victim, who walked away. The suspect then approached the victim from behind, pulled her hair, punched and kicked her, causing minor injuries.
Devon and Cornwall Police are investigating the incident and appealing for witnesses. Officers are keen to hear from anyone present at the time, particularly a witness who stepped in to stop the assault. That witness is described as a white male in his mid-30s carrying a child on his shoulders. Anyone with information or relevant footage is asked to contact 101 or police online, quoting 50260200123.
