A police cordon is still in place two days after the body of a man was found in a car park in Truro.
Ben Gough, a 41-year-old local man, was found dead on the ground floor of Moorfield Car Park in Calenick Street on Monday, August 17. His death is being treated as unexplained, and an investigation into the circumstances of his death is ongoing.
In an update today (Wednesday, August 19), a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We currently have a scene guard in place on the ground floor of the car park."
Devon and Cornwall Police said a 44-year-old man from Truro was arrested on suspicion of assault, grievous bodily harm, administering a noxious substance, and theft. At the time of reporting, he remains in police custody.
Ben's sister, Leanne, told CornwallLive their family is "broken", adding they have "nothing but love for him". In a tribute to her brother, Leanne said: "Ben was loved by all of his family more than he can ever imagine. Losing him has broken our family and we will never recover from this. People may have certain views on Ben but his family know the real Ben and he had nothing but love in him".
