A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 41-year-old whose body was found on the ground floor of a multi-storey car park.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the Truro man's death was being treated as unexplained and that "significant inquiries remain ongoing to establish the circumstances" after his body was found at Moorfield Car Park in Truro, Cornwall, at about 10:45 BST on Monday.
A 44-year-old man from Truro has been arrested on suspicion of assault grievous bodily harm, administering a noxious substance and theft. He remains in police custody.
A cordon remains around the closed ground floor while forensic examinations and searches are carried out. Officers said they were also reviewing CCTV footage to establish the man's movements prior to his death.
Det Insp Jon Bray said: "Our inquiries are at an early stage as we work to establish the circumstances surrounding this man's death."
He appealed for anyone with information or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area between the afternoon of Friday 14 August and 10:45 on Monday
