A dog was rescued from a home in Devon where a fire had started in the kitchen.
Fire crews were called by a member of the public after a neighbour's smoke alarm went off.
Crews forced their way into the Honiton property at around 2.16pm on Wednesday, September 23.
The small fire was contained to the cooker area of the ground floor kitchen.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the hob was isolated and items involved were moved into the fresh air.
Crews from Honiton and Middlemore used two breathing apparatus sets, one hose reel jet, one thermal imaging camera, one positive pressure ventilation fan and small tools to extinguish the fire.
Fire crews rescued one dog from the property.
There was no fire damage and minimal smoke damage to the property. The incident was fully concluded by 4.51pm.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "This incident highlights the importance of having smoke alarms and vigilant neighbours."
