Two people have been arrested following an incident in an Exeter street that has been cordoned off by police.
Police and paramedics were seen in Elaine Close in Beacon Heath earlier this afternoon after reports of an incident. Cordon tape was placed across parts of the road as multiple land ambulances and police vehicles attended the scene.
Devon and Cornwall Police later confirmed that three people have been taken to hospital, with two of them arrested.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a disturbance within a property on Elaine Close, Exeter at around 3.35pm on Tuesday 15 September.
"Emergency services are currently at the scene, and a cordon is in place.
"Three people have been taken to hospital with one reported to have sustained serious facial injuries.
"Of those, a man and a woman, both in their 30s, have been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm. "It is believed all parties are known to each other and there is no wider threat to the public."
