A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a disturbance at a residential property in Beacon Heath on Tuesday afternoon (September 15). In an update this afternoon, Devon and Cornwall Police said three people had been arrested in total following the incident at Elaine Close.
The force said a person suffered serious facial injuries, but it is believed the victim's injuries are not as serious as first thought. At the time of the incident, DevonLive reported there was a major emergency response in the area.
The update from Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Three people were arrested in relation to this." All three remain in police custody. Police said the people involved are believed to be known to each other, and there is not believed to be a wider threat to the public.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police added: "All three suspects are local and remain in police custody. Fortunately, the victim’s injuries aren’t serious and as bad as first feared."
