Witness Appeal After Woman Seriously Injured in East Devon Car Crash

A woman in her 70s was seriously injured in a two-car crash in East Devon, leading police to appeal for witnesses.

Devon and Cornwall Police are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward after two Citroen cars collided on the A30 near Yarcombe at the end of August.

Investigating officers said the woman, from the Exeter area, was taken to hospital by ambulance. The road was closed for several hours while the scene was examined.

A police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for witness and information following a serious road traffic collision that occurred on 31 August at around 1pm on the A30 near Yarcombe."

The spokesperson continued: "Officers were called to near Underdown Moor following a report of a collision between two Citroen cars. A woman in her 70s, from near Exeter, sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to hospital. She is expected to make a full recovery."

The force added: "Officers from the roads policing team would like to thank the public for their patience while the road was closed for an investigation at the scene to be carried out."
