A vehicle and trailer have been completely destroyed in a fire in North Devon.
Two fire engines from Barnstaple and Lynton fire stations were sent to the A399 at 8.18am on Monday, September 14, by Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
The vehicle fire broke out on the road between Friendship Farm and Blackmoor Gate, near Bishop Fleming in North Devon.
Both the vehicle and the trailer were destroyed in the blaze.
Crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to put out the fire. An environment pack was also used to stop fuel from entering a nearby stream.
The fire service handed the scene over to police and National Highways.
The road remains closed, with slow traffic reported on the North Devon road.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 8.18am this morning, two appliances from Barnstaple and Lynton fire stations were called to attend a vehicle fire on the road between Friendship Farm and Blackmoor Gate, near Bishop Fleming in North Devon.
“Crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, and an environment pack was used to prevent fuel from entering a nearby stream.
“The vehicle and a trailer were both destroyed by fire.
“The scene has now been handed over to the police and National Highways.”
