Morning Traffic Disrupted by Lorry Breakdown on Tamar Bridge

Traffic came to a near standstill across Tamar Bridge this morning, with police in attendance, causing major disruption for rush hour travel.

The A38 Eastbound was closed at around 8.24am before Pemros Road, Plymouth, due to a broken down lorry. Within about half an hour, the road had been cleared and school and work traffic from both the Plymouth and Saltash sides was able to resume.

The traffic reporting system Inrix reported: “Road cleared and traffic returned to normal, broken down lorry removed on A38 Eastbound before Pemros Road.”
