The A381 is closed in both directions while Devon and Cornwall Police carry out an accident investigation. This is the second time in two days the South Devon road has been closed for such an investigation.
According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the closed stretch runs from Sandy Lane to Stumpy Post Cross roundabout, north of Kingsbridge near Lestone. The incident happened after 6.30pm.

Last night (Saturday September 6), the A381 was closed near Marlborough between Kingsbridge and Salcombe due to an accident investigation. That closure was in place from Higher Town to Burleigh Lane, starting at 7.30pm. You can read about yesterday's closure here.
