The driver of a car that was involved in a crash with a van in Exeter failed to stop at the scene.
The crash took place on Pennsylvania Road at about 12.50pm yesterday, Monday 31 August.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the collision involved a car and a van, causing damage to the front and rear of the van. The incident occurred at the junction of Wrefords Lane.
Police are asking witnesses to the crash to come forward and are appealing for information about the car. The car was "being driven by a young man", according to police. The car is described as "being a small dark coloured hatchback, possibly blue". The vehicle registration is believed to begin with WJ58.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses after a car collided with another vehicle in Exeter and failed to stop at the scene.
"Officers were called to Pennsylvania Road yesterday, Monday 31 August at around 12.50pm, after damage was caused to the front nearside of a van.
"The incident took place on the junction of Wrefords Lane. The car, which was being driven by a young man, is described as being a small dark coloured hatchback, possibly blue. The registration is believed to begin with WJ58.
"Officers are asking any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
