Red Bull is bringing its Up The Mast challenge back to Plymouth after a successful first year. The event will be held at the Barbican and Sutton Harbour in Plymouth, Devon, from 12:00 to 16:30 BST on 26 September.
The challenge, first held in the city in 2025, involves "an all-out sprint up a greased mast" to grab a flag as quickly as possible, with participants ending up in the water. Red Bull said the event is free for spectators and open to people aged 18 and over, with about 200 competitors expected to take part.
Organisers said the challenge would test the "speed, skill and sheer determination" of competitors. "The fastest to grab the flag in the final round will be declared the ultimate winner and hero of Plymouth for the day," a Red Bull spokesperson added. Anyone who wants to enter should visit the event's website.
