A film festival celebrating the beauty and power of the sea is set to return this autumn in Cornwall.
The Ocean Film Festival World Tour is bringing a night of thrilling ocean-themed films to the Hall for Cornwall, Truro, on October 16.
Now in its 13th year, the festival features stories from above and below the waves, sharing breathtaking marine life, human adventure, and efforts to protect the sea.
Nell Teasdale, UK tour director, said: "As we head into our 13th year, the Ocean Film Festival World Tour remains a celebration of the ocean in all its beauty, power and vulnerability.
"Each film in the 2026 programme will offer something special, whether it's extraordinary adventure, breathtaking marine life or people dedicating their lives to protecting the sea.
"We can't wait to bring this year's line-up to audiences around the UK."
One of the standout films in the 2026 line-up is The Raftsmen, which tells the true story of 12 adventurers from seven countries who attempted to cross the Pacific Ocean in 1973 on three handmade wooden rafts.
Their six-month journey remains the longest raft expedition ever completed.
The original 16mm footage has been restored into 4K.
Other films in the programme include Granny Grommets, a nine-minute short about a group of older women who defy age and expectations by taking to the waves each week.
Another highlight is Tides of Life, a 16-minute film about Richard Tesore, the founder of Uruguay's first rescue and rehabilitation centre for marine mammals.
It explores his lifelong passion for wildlife and his work caring for injured penguins, sea lions, and otters along the country's fragile coastline.
Nell said: "It's always incredible to see audiences come out year after year – not just to watch beautiful films, but to feel part of something bigger.
"The ocean connects all of us, and this event is a chance to celebrate that connection on the big screen."
