A man was taken to hospital with an arm injury after an attack at a property in Tiverton over the weekend. Emergency services were called to a property on Barrington Street during the early hours of Saturday morning, September 19. A cordon was put in place at the time of the incident, and locals and residents reported seeing a large police presence in the area.
The victim was taken to hospital after suffering a "laceration to his arm", police said. The man's injury is not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. A local man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been released on police bail as investigations continue.
Officers are appealing for anyone with doorbell footage that might assist the investigation to contact the force.
