A flooded former quarry in the Penryn countryside is going up for auction.
Cornwall Council has listed a 2.13-acre section of Chywoon Quarry, complete with a flooded quarry pit, an open field, and dilapidated stone buildings. The freehold guide price is £50,000, less than the cost of a typical house deposit.
Senior auction appraiser Katie Semmens said: "Interested parties may see a variety of different uses for the site, subject to the necessary consents."
