Police were called to a popular beach in Cornwall after four men on a boat were reported to be acting suspiciously in the water.
Officers were asked to investigate a rigid inflatable boat (RIB) seen off Marazion Beach yesterday evening, Wednesday August 26.
Local resident Richard Milton said: "They were questioned then the police left. I guess someone reported illegal immigrants.
"I think they were just having a boat ride."
Officers attended the scene and spoke to the four men. All four were local to the area, and no concerns were identified, police added. No further action was taken.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at around 6.15pm on Wednesday 26 August with a report of alleged suspicious activity relating to four males in a rigid inflatable boat off Marazion Beach."
