Man in 40s Airlifted After E-Scooter Collision in Falmouth

A man in his 40s was airlifted to hospital after a serious road traffic collision in Falmouth on Monday night. Devon and Cornwall Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and information.

The incident happened at around 11.15pm on Penmere Hill. Officers were called to reports of a collision involving a 'Beryl' electric scooter. The rider, a local man, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital for treatment.

The Roads Policing Team thanked the public for their patience while the road was closed. It reopened on Tuesday morning just before 6am.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision which occurred on Penmere Hill, Falmouth.
