A man has been charged after an alleged attack involving a bottle left a man in hospital.
Jordan Papanicolaou, 29, has been charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent after the alleged incident on Union Street, Torquay, last Friday (August 21) shortly before 6pm.
He appeared in Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 24 and was remanded in custody. His next hearing is scheduled on September 24.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “A man has been charged following an alleged incident involving a bottle in Union Street, Torquay, shortly before 6pm on Friday 21 August.
“One man was taken to hospital as a result.
“Jordan Papanicolaou, 29, of no fixed abode, Torquay, has been charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
“He appeared at Plymouth Magistrates' Court today (Monday 24 August) and was remanded in custody ahead of his next hearing on 24 September.”
