Hayle Surf Lifesaving Club Wins First National Youth Title

Hayle Surf Life Saving Club has been crowned the 2026 Surf Life Saving GB National Youth Champions for the first time in the club's history.

The club's youth team delivered three days of relentless racing, grit and heart to secure the national title, completing what they proudly call their quadruple crown.

Coaches described the result as "unbelievably deserved", praising every athlete for giving "absolutely everything" on the sand and in the surf.

Across the championships, Hayle's young competitors showed determination, teamwork and sportsmanship. Their performances built steadily across the weekend and ended in a historic win that left coaches, families and supporters celebrating on the beach.

Holywell Bay Surf Life Saving Club earned widespread praise for hosting an event village that impressed athletes, families and volunteers alike. Organisers said they didn't think Holywell Bay could top last year's setup, "but they certainly proved us wrong."

A large team of volunteers kept the three-day event running smoothly, from safety crews and timekeepers to beach marshals and organisers. Hayle Surf Life Saving Club said the championships "quite literally wouldn't happen without you."
