Fundraising Total Announced As Thousands Turn Falmouth Pink

More than £20,000 has been raised for the Mermaid Centre at Royal Cornwall Hospital thanks to a well-attended community event in Falmouth.

On Friday, August 7, more than 1,000 people turned the streets pink for the event. Supporters of all ages came together for an unforgettable evening of fundraising, fun and community spirit, walking in support of everyone affected by breast cancer.

This year was extra special as men were welcomed to take part for the first time, recognising the wider impact breast cancer has on families, friends and loved ones.

A grand total of £23,000 was raised, which will go towards enhancing care, facilities and support for breast cancer patients and their families across Cornwall.
