An inquest has heard that an 80-year-old farmer died after being trampled by a cow.
At a short public hearing on August 19 at Exeter Coroners Court, an inquest into the death of Jennifer Ann Uglow was opened.
The inquest heard that Mrs Uglow was born in Cornwall and resided at West Balsdon farm, near Holsworthy. She was married and a farmer.
On July 29, Mrs Uglow was identified as having multiple injuries and was admitted to Derriford Hospital after being trampled by a cow at her farm.
The inquest heard that Mrs Uglow was sadly unable to recover and passed away on August 8. Her cause of death was given as respiratory failure caused by chest wall trauma.
The inquest was adjourned and will be heard at a later date.
