An 11-year-old girl has suffered life-changing injuries following a crash on the A30.
Emergency services were called at 12.40pm on Thursday, August 20, after the crash on the eastbound carriageway near Tedburn St Mary.
A Volkswagen Polo and a Ford Ranger were involved in the crash on the eastbound carriageway by Fingle Glen junction.
Devon and Cornwall Police said an 11-year-old girl, travelling in the VW Polo, suffered life-changing injuries and was airlifted to Bristol Children’s Hospital, where she remains.
The female driver and two children from the same car were taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with minor injuries.
The force added the woman remains in hospital this afternoon and all the casualties are from Monmouth in South Wales.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team closed the A30 following the incident and it fully reopened in both directions at 8.40pm.
They continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash and are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
