Simon Spillett, widely regarded as one of the finest saxophonists in the country, is touring the south west this year with the Ronnie Jones Trio. The tour marks the 30th anniversary of his professional debut, and he will perform at Ashburton Arts Centre on September 18.
Spillett burst onto the jazz scene in his early 20s as a fully-formed talent, and has since built a stellar career with numerous sold-out headline shows at the UK's premier jazz clubs.
The tenor virtuoso will be supported by three exceptional musicians on the night: Will Butterworth on piano, Ronnie Jones on drums, and James MacPhail on bass.
Tickets for the 7.30pm gig can be booked at https://ashburtonarts.org.uk.
