Two men have been arrested on suspicion of immigration offences in St Austell after an incident in the town centre.
Police cars and fire crews were seen in the area of Bodmin Street on Sunday afternoon (August 30) at around 4.30pm.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said structural concerns were raised at a property in Bodmin Road. The road was closed and police say concerns were raised about the number of people inside the building.
Two men in their 20s and 30s were arrested on suspicion of immigration offences. They remain in police custody.
Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We were called at around 4.30pm on Sunday 30 August following a structural concern at a property in Bodmin Road, St Austell. Emergency services attended and closed the road. Concerns were raised for a number of people inside the building and checks carried out. Two men in their 20s and 30s have been arrested on suspicion of immigration offences. They remain in custody at this time."
