A property on Whitley Close in Truro has been made a complete "no-go zone" after a full closure order was issued by local magistrates. The order follows an investigation by police and council officials into threatening, nuisance, and anti-social behaviour at the home.
The same property had previously been subject to a partial closure order for three months from June 4, which was put in place because of relentless "negative community impact."
The new full closure order, described as having "total restrictions," is in force for three months from yesterday, September 2, 2026. Anyone found breaching the order commits a criminal offence and could end up in court.
Neighbourhood beat manager PC Anna Elvans said: “Under the terms of the order, no one is permitted to enter the property. The property has been fully boarded up and secured.
"Thank you to everyone who has contributed to achieving this positive outcome for the community. This outcome has been achieved through the relentless work and dedication of all those involved.
"I would particularly like to acknowledge the significant efforts of the local Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Officer Stephen Lennon and Cornwall Housing officers, whose ongoing support and commitment have been instrumental in securing this result.
“We don’t underestimate the distress caused to those living close to nuisance properties who suffer from any anti-social behaviour carried out.”
