Devon and Cornwall Police in Torquay are investigating a burglary at a building within the grounds of the town's cemetery. Tools worth thousands of pounds, used to look after people's graves, were stolen between 5pm on Friday, August 28 and 7am on Tuesday, September 1.
A spokesperson for Torquay Police said: "Thousands of pounds of machinery has been stolen including various Stihl products, namely, six strimmer's, a polesaw, backpack blower, an extendable hedge trimmer as well as Dewalt drill pieces and other horticultural machinery.
"These items do have serial numbers and we would ask any residents or businesses to be mindful if they are offered these items for sale."
