Devon County Council has published a draft Traffic Regulation Order proposing new and amended waiting, loading, limited waiting and residents' parking controls across parts of East Devon, according to Devon County Council. The proposals would affect streets in Budleigh Salterton, Clyst St George, Colaton Raleigh, Colyton, Exmouth, Honiton, Lympstone, Sidmouth and Woodbury. Comments and objections must arrive by 21 September 2026.

Where appropriate, the usual exemptions would apply, including stopping for picking up or setting down passengers, loading and unloading, and for disabled persons' vehicles.
The order also sets out permit eligibility and charges for Exmouth zones, including residents, charity business occupier, supported living, school business, motorcycle and scooter permits. Resident permits start from 35 annually, with banded charges for additional vehicles up to 65. Visitor options include virtual visitor time allocations and physical daily visitor bundles.
