The death of a man in Truro is no longer being treated as suspicious, and a suspect arrested on suspicion of murder has been told no further action will be taken.
Ison Alli, 23, from Penzance, died at a property on Polruan Road in Truro. Emergency services were called at around 7.20am on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. A 23-year-old man from Truro was arrested on suspicion of murder and later released on police bail.
In an update released today (Tuesday, September 1), police said the investigation concluded there was "no third-party involvement in Mr Alli's death". The man arrested has been told there will be no further police action against him. A file is now being prepared for the coroner.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The death of Ison Alli, 23, in October 2025, is no longer being treated as suspicious. Following extensive enquiries, the investigation has concluded that there was no third-party involvement in Mr Alli’s death. A 23-year-old man from Truro, who had been arrested on suspicion of murder and released on police bail, has been informed that there will be no further police action against him. A file is being prepared for the coroner."
In November 2025, Mr Alli's family released a heartfelt statement which said "life took you too soon". They said: "Though your time with us was far too short, at 23, you had a heart of gold, showed such kindness, your humour and one-liners will forever be remembered. You were irritating beyond measure, but you were so lovable. You had your struggles, but you still put everyone before yourself. You taught us to laugh freely, and to care deeply. Your infectious smile, every crazy moment — will be a precious gift we carry forever. Life took you too soon, but love does not end. You live on in every song, every party, every heartbeat that remembers you. Ison, you will forever be our beautiful reason to believe in love that never fades."
