An adored mother of five has died suddenly after a chest infection developed into bronchitis. Tammy Seaden, 55, from Bugle, passed away after becoming unwell. Her daughter Zenna Thompson, 33, described her as "very creative" and always up for a challenge despite her health conditions. The pair lived together alone and had been making memories and keeping active in the lead up to her death.
"I went to check on her and she was struggling to breathe," said Zenna. "She was stubborn, stubborn as anything. I would get her out doing things and she would say, 'Zenna, what are we doing today?' I'd ask if she was well enough today and she would say, 'We're gonna do it anyway'. I took her horse riding and she overcame her fear of horses."
Zenna also has pet snakes and said her mum got over this fear too and would even handle them. "She liked to go seaglass hunting; she was incredibly artistic and would make sculptures, trees of life, jewellery and she would crochet. My neighbours are in bits as well because they adored her."
With the loss being so sudden, Zenna, who lives in social housing, says she is fearful she might also have to leave her home now. She is also left with the financial burden of arranging a funeral she did not expect would be so soon.
A fundraising page set up by the family, led by sister Kelly, reads: "The unexpected death of our mum on the 14th has left us with the unexpected and overwhelming financial burden of the cost of the funeral. Everyone that met our mum knew that she would give the shirt of her back for anyone. She was such a loving and giving person. She had a smile that would light a room and a laugh that was contagious. She loved everyone with her whole heart, she was such an extraordinary mum and nanny and friend. Those that knew our mum know that there aren't any words to describe how truly inspirational and incredible she was. She never gave up, she never backed down, she will never be forgotten. We are asking that at the funeral there are only flowers from the family, but any donations towards the cost of the funeral instead would be greatly appreciated."
