A serial offender has again avoided prison after a series of public order offences, including threatening and confronting women in a town centre.
James Thornton, 42, of Trewhiddle Court, St Austell, has been on a spate of disorderly behaviour for several months this year but will not be jailed.
He appeared in court on September 14 for sentencing after being remanded in prison since July 27. He had committed numerous offences while on police bail.
Thornton was first arrested and charged on April 4. He behaved in a threatening and confrontational manner towards several people in St Austell town centre during incidents from late March to early April.
