Ian Hempshall, 39, of Poplars Farm, Tibberton, is to stand trial at Cheltenham Magistrates Court in the New Year. He is accused of causing serious injury to another road user by careless driving in Cornwall last summer.
The charge alleges that Hempshall was driving a BMW 330 without due care and attention at Griggs Hill, Lelant, near Hayle, Cornwall, on 23rd August 2025. It is understood that the injured man was riding a motorcycle at the time.
The case was initially heard at Cornwall Magistrates Court, where an interim driving ban was imposed on Mr Hempshall. That ban has now been lifted by Cheltenham Magistrates pending his trial on 10th February 2027.
