Results Day Marks New Beginning for Devon’s Young People

In recent weeks, thousands of young people across Devon have received their exam results, including A Levels, T Levels, vocational qualifications and GCSEs.

For many, results day is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. Some will be celebrating the grades they hoped for, while others may be reflecting on their options and thinking about what comes next.

Councillor Julian Brazil, Leader of Devon County Council, said:

“Results day can bring a mix of emotions. For some, things will have gone exactly as planned, while others may be reconsidering their next steps.

“Whatever your results, I want every young person to recognise the hard work and commitment that has brought them to this point. There are many different routes into education, training and employment, and support is available to help you find the path that’s right for you.

“We know that our young people are Devon’s most valuable asset. We will strive to make every young person the best they can be, that is our mission.”

Those who need support with their next steps can get advice through Devon County Council’s Employment Hubs and Post-16 support. Services include help with CV writing, interview preparation, job and apprenticeship searches, applications and careers advice.

Whether you are considering further education, training, an apprenticeship or employment, help is available to explore the opportunities ahead.
