A man who indecently assaulted a three-year-old child when he was a teenager went on to rape two other victims.
David Maddern was jailed for 21 years at Truro Crown Court on Friday (August 21).
The court heard he sexually assaulted the child in the 1990s in the Redruth area.
Defence barrister Ryan Murray said Maddern admitted multiple rapes of a woman in Redruth in 2018 on the second day of his trial.
Maddern, 43, of Park Road, Redruth, also raped another child in 2023 in Pool.
The court heard Maddern was sexually abused himself as a child, but he received no closure because his abuser died.
Two of his victims said they suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and flashbacks as a result of the abuse. One said he had ruined her life.
His Honour Judge James Adkin jailed Maddern, who had no previous convictions, to 21 years in prison. He said he would serve 13 years before becoming eligible for parole.
