Thousands of people watched from beaches, hilltops and gardens as the most significant solar eclipse since 1999 passed over the South West and Channel Islands.
Cornwall, Devon, Guernsey and Jersey were among the best places in Britain to watch the rare event on Wednesday. Between 94% and 96% of the Sun was obscured by the Moon.
A selection of images from across the region and islands has been collated to show the spectacle.
