An inquest has been opened into the death of a cyclist in Devon.
David Darren Warburton, 59, was found at the side of the road alongside his bike near Lifton on August 11.
The inquest has been opened by the coroner in Exeter.
Area coroner Deborah Archer said Mr Warburton was born in Swindon and lived in Broadwoodwidger. He was married and worked as a security guard.
Emergency services attended and found him deceased at the scene. The location was given as Hillside near Broadwoodwidger.
The cause of death was multiple injuries.
A full inquest will be heard at a later date.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said: “We were called at 10:22hrs on Tuesday 11 August to an incident near Broadwoodwider. We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, and an operations officer to the scene.”
