Thousands of people watched the partial solar eclipse across the South West and Channel Islands.
About 94% to 96% of the Sun was covered by the Moon across Devon and Cornwall when the eclipse peaked at 19:15 BST.
The 1999 total solar eclipse was the last of the 20th Century, when the focus was again on Cornwall and the Channel Islands as they were the only parts of the British Isles to witness totality, the full blacking out of the Sun by the Moon.
The next one will take place in 64 years on 23 September 2090.
