Sir Mel Stride, the MP for Central Devon, has been removed as shadow chancellor, almost two years after Kemi Badenoch appointed him to the role following her 2024 leadership win.
Andrew Griffith, previously shadow business secretary, will replace him. The change is part of a wider reshuffle of the Conservative top team ahead of October's party conference.
