A man accused of killing and injuring several people in a crash on the A30 has appeared in court.
Chris Johns appeared before Bodmin Magistrates' Court on September 18 in connection with a serious crash at the Plusha junction near Launceston in which one man died and two men and one woman were injured on May 2, 2024.
Martin Snowden, from Holsworthy in Devon, who was 38 at the time, died after being involved in a two-vehicle collision. He had been travelling in a Honda Civic when he was in a collision with a Range Rover Evoque. Despite efforts by emergency services who rushed to the incident, he was declared deceased at the scene.
An inquest into the death of Mr Snowden was officially opened by Cornwall's coroner on May 30, 2024, before being immediately adjourned until any criminal proceedings have been resolved.
