Porthleven sits on the Cornish coast as a town shaped by its maritime history and now known for its growing food scene.
It is a historic harbour town in Cornwall and the most southerly port in Great Britain. Its past is tied to the sea, having served as a harbour of refuge for ships along a coastline that was notorious for shipwrecks during the age of sail.

The Porthleven Food Festival brings families and foodies together around the harbour, celebrating different cuisines with entertainment and cooking demonstrations.
The South West Coast Path, which runs from Somerset to Dorset, passes through the town and draws walkers year-round.
