Residents in Tiverton who have been victims of shed burglaries are being asked to contact police with any information. Devon and Cornwall Police said incidents occurred at several properties on West Exe South, Narrow Lane and Amory Road on Monday 14 September between 3am and 5am. Sheds were broken into, with tools, a metal detector and an e-scooter reported stolen.
Inspector Mark Arthurs, sector inspector for Tiverton, said: "We would like to hear from anybody who saw any suspicious activity in the area at the time. We would particularly like to hear from anyone who has doorbell or dashcam footage who hasn't already provided this to the police to get in touch. Equally, we would also encourage anyone who has experienced similar crimes and hasn't reported it to us to do so on our website."
A 51-year-old man from Exeter has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and attempted burglary. He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
