A diver who saw a dolphin trapped in about "a foot of water" acted quickly to rescue it in Cornwall.
Connor Hunter was at Mylor Creek near Falmouth on Wednesday (September 16) when he noticed a fin and splashing in the shallow stream, where the tide was low.
Realising it was a dolphin, Connor ran in to help.
The commercial diver told CornwallLive he saw the dolphin's fin and "half it's back" out of the shallow water.
"It was one of the most amazing experiences and I am so happy I could help the dolphin get out out trouble.
"I checked it over before to see if it had any visible injuries, I'm no dolphin expert but knew it needed help".
Connor said the dolphin was obviously "panicked" in the stream, but when he started to move it into deeper water "it calmed down".
He said: "It's like it knew I was going to help and I was not a threat. I just wanted to get it to deeper water".
Connor managed to manoeuvre the dolphin into the deeper water, where it was then able to swim off.
Connor said: "When I was able to get it into deeper water, I kept splashing to try and direct it so it wouldn't swim back up to the shallow water".
Connor and his partner Autumn moved to Cornwall five months ago and began renovating a barge in the area.
He told CornwallLive it has "always been a dream to swim with dolphins, but not like this.
"I was so chuffed I was able to help and get it back out to deeper water.
"The most important thing to us was to get it back to safe water and make sure it had no obvious injuries."
