Christmas shopping can sometimes feel like a race against the clock, but this year there is a chance to slow down and soak up the festive atmosphere at the annual Newton Abbot Christmas Fayre. Taking place at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Saturday 28th November, the event brings together more than 70 local businesses, makers, producers and traders, with thousands of visitors expected. From handmade gifts and unique Christmas decorations to crafts, festive food and drink, there will be plenty to browse, taste and take home. The Stable Block will be transformed for the occasion, with stallholders decorating their spaces to create a festive shopping experience.
There will be something for all ages, including a Christmas tree seller, carol singers and festive refreshments from the racecourse café and visiting food and drink stalls. For families, a visit to Santa’s Grotto is sure to be a highlight. For £10, children can meet Santa, receive a special gift and enjoy an activity with his elves while they wait. Photographs will also be available to capture the moment. Santa’s Grotto must be booked in advance via the racecourse website, with spaces expected to be popular.
