Tickets On Sale For Cornwall Christmas Fair At Eden Project

Christmas will arrive early in Cornwall this November as the much-loved Cornwall Christmas Fair returns for two days of festive shopping, food and entertainment.

Now in its 35th year, the fair will be held at The Eden Project, near St Austell, on Wednesday and Thursday, November 18 and 19. It brings together independent traders, seasonal food and drink, and festive cheer beneath Eden's famous Biomes.

Organised entirely by volunteers and supported by sponsors, the event has raised more than £1.1 million for charitable causes over the past three and a half decades.

This year's funds will support the Cornwall Community Foundation, which helps grassroots organisations tackling poverty, isolation and disadvantage across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Visitors can do their Christmas shopping knowing their spending helps people who need it most.

The festivities start with the Preview and Shopping Evening on Wednesday, November 18, from 5pm to 9pm. Tickets cost £34 and include supper in the Mediterranean Biome, a glass of wine on arrival, and entry to the Cornwall Christmas Fair Cocktail Party, sponsored by historic building contractors Ilex. Rock Choir will also perform.

The main Fair Day takes place on Thursday, November 19, from 10am to 4pm. Tickets cost £22 and include lunch, a glass of wine, and free admission to the Eden Project, making it easy to combine festive shopping with a day out at one of Cornwall's best-known attractions.

Eden's Biomes will be illuminated throughout the fair, creating a spectacular setting and giving visitors a preview of Eden's seasonal lights experience.

Returning favourites include Rodda's Pre-loved Christmas Jumper stall, which this year is joined by ski-wear. Shoppers can also buy an exclusive scented Christmas candle from St Eval Candle Company, sponsored by Lillicrap Chilcott, with all proceeds going to the charity fund.

Pix Ashworth and Kitty Galsworthy, co-chairs of the Cornwall Christmas Fair, said the event was about much more than simply fundraising.

"The Cornwall Christmas Fair is much more than a fundraising event," they said. "It's a whole day out or a whole evening out, bringing together great shopping, fantastic food, festive entertainment and the opportunity to catch up with friends."

They added that every ticket, raffle ticket and pound spent at the Fair contributes towards supporting people across Cornwall who need help.

With economic pressures continuing to affect communities, demand for support through Cornwall Community Foundation's grants programmes remains high, making events such as the Cornwall Christmas Fair particularly important.

Tickets are now available via the Cornwall Christmas Fair website. VIP parking is also available for £10 per car in the Orange 3 car park above the Eden Project Visitor Centre.
