Devon Traffic Delays Reported Ahead of Weekend

Drivers were warned of long delays on major routes across Devon today (Friday, September 11).

The A30 was blocked westbound near Okehampton because of a broken down vehicle. Roads and traffic monitoring site Inrix reported the incident this afternoon. It said: "A30 Westbound partially blocked, slow traffic due to broken down vehicle after the B3260 (Okehampton Services)."

There were also delays on the A361 in Braunton, with drivers facing delays around 10 minutes.

Inrix reported that earlier incidents had cleared and traffic was returning to normal. However, it also listed ongoing problems. On the A386 Manadon Hill northbound, there was slow traffic due to an accident involving three vehicles, from the A38 The Parkway (Manadon Roundabout) to Morshead Road. On the A38 Devon Expressway northbound, there was queueing traffic due to a broken down vehicle from the B3344 (Chudleigh/Kingsteignton Turn Off) to Marsh Lane (Harcombe Cross), with a note that the location had changed. Further north on the A38, there was also queueing traffic due to a broken down vehicle from Marsh Lane (Harcombe Cross) to Haldon Hill (Racecourse Junction).
